walking through the land of ice and fire
i have begun photographing the surrounding of the town of Skagastrond, Iwalked many kilometres today and despite many layers of clothing (double socks, double trousers, tree jumbers) the cold really bites. I have to take regular breaks. The light is good only between 10-11 and 3-4. It passes very quickly from sunrise and sunset, but expecially between 12 and 2 pm the light is very harsh: whilst this may be good for "postcard" photography I prefer the softer light just after sunrise and just before sunset. The days are very short so i have to use fully the precious little hours of light.
I am exploring the territory, focusing my attention of trails, paths, roads, sheds and houses and other signs of human geography in this territory
